How to use a proxy server

If you access the folder via a proxy server, you can also setup the needed type:

HTTP Settings:

To setup the HTTP server, select the “HTTP” line from the “Proxy type” list.

To setup the HTTP server, select the

  • In “Proxy server” field, specify the IP address or domain name of the server.
  • In “port” field, specify the port used to connect to the server (usually it is 8080 or 3128).
  • In “Proxy user name” field, specify user name, if this type of proxy needs authorization.
    If authorization is not needed, leave this field empty.
  • In “Proxy user password” field, enter the password for the user specified in “Proxy user name” field. If authorization or password is not needed, leave this field empty.

SOCKS4 Settings:

To setup SOCKS4 server, select “SOCKS4” line from “Proxy type” list.

To setup SOCKS4 server, select

  • In “Proxy server” field, specify the IP address or domain name of the server.
  • In “port” field, specify the port used to connect to the server (usually it is 1080).
  • “Proxy user name” and “Proxy user password” fields are not used with this type of proxy server.

SOCKS5 Settings:

To setup SOCKS5 server, select “SOCKS5” line from “Proxy type” list.

To setup SOCKS5 server, select

  • In “Proxy server” field, specify the IP address or domain name of the server.
  • In “port” field, specify the port used to connect to the server (usually it is 1080).
  • In “Proxy user name” field, specify user name, if this type of proxy needs authorization.
    If authorization is not needed, leave this field empty.
  • In “Proxy user password” field, enter the password for the user specified in “Proxy user name” field. If authorization or password is not needed, leave this field empty.

If you want to disable using a proxy server in the current profile, select None type in “Proxy type” field.
