How does activation identify hardware?

How does activation wizard identify hardware when activating the program? Can users upgrade hardware of their computers?
Answer:
Activation is a user-friendly procedure. Still, a complicated algorithm is needed to generate the activation code. A part of this code is created basing on hardware installed on user's computer.
There's no way to retrieve this information from the generated key. If you change all or most hardware your activation key will become invalid. You'll have to re-activate the program.
In any case, don't worry about re-activation. If you change hardware and the program asks for re-activation when you are short of allowed activations, contact our support service.
